Hopi Marao Kachina Doll With Necklace, c.1950

An excellent mid-century Hopi Marao Kachina doll, dating from around 1950. This is a large piece measuring 14" high and features a detailed miniature necklace and Marao's distinctive tripod headdress. It is traditionally made from cottonwood and comes with the customary string for hanging on the wall.
