Hopi Four Panel Jar by Nyla Sahmie new

This masterful jar is the work of Hopi-Tewa artist Nyla Sahmie, a fifth generation matrilineal descendant of Nampeyo (1858-1942). This graceful piece is decorated in four panels with different motifs inspired by ancient Hopi examples. This piece was traditionally fired at the artist's home in Polacca, Arizona in early 2025. It is well-potted with incredibly detailed painting. It measures 6 1/2" high by 9" in diameter. Signed by the artist. An exceptional piece by a master artist.
