Hopi Heheya Kachina Doll, c.1960

This delightful Hopi Heheya kachina doll dates to 1960. This Heheya has superb, detailed painting and accessories. He has great movement, and it is easy to imagine him in action at a dance at one of the Hopi villages. This doll's charming details include a hat to match his fur robe that suggests a chile pepper, and in one hand he holds a little kachina doll, a rattle, and a pair of moccasins to give as gifts to the children at the dances. The doll measures 6 1/2" height, and is in excellent condition with no repair.
