Hopi Tasap Kachina Doll, c.1940s new

This excellent example of a traditional Hopi Tasap kachina doll dates to the 1940s. This doll has great detail, from his red yarn headband to the painted sash at his waist, and is carved from lightweight cottonwood root. Tasap is known as the Navajo Kachina. The doll measures 11" height and is in excellent condition.
