Hopi Seed Jars with Eagle Tail Design by Vernida Polacca Nampeyo

Vernida Polacca Nampeyo (1955- ) made these seed jars in November 2022. Vernida is the granddaughter of Fannie Nampeyo, who taught her pottery-making. Fannie was the most talented and prolific potter of Nampeyo's five children. Vernida is known for making exceptional traditional Hopi pottery with classic family designs. Both jars have different variations of the Nampeyo family eagle tail design. Please note the jar on the left has sold.

The jar on the left measures 3 1/2" height and 5" diameter, and is in excellent, original condition.

The jar on the right measures 4 1/2" height and 5" diameter, and is also in excellent, original condition.
