Hopi Kokopelli Kachina Doll, c.1950

This Hopi kachina doll dates to the 1950s and is traditionally-carved from cottonwood root. The doll depicts Kokopelli, the hump-backed flute player known for his often lascivious antics at the dances. This depiction of Kokopelli has great movement, and ethnographically accurate details. The doll measures 15" height and is in excellent condition. He sits on a custom stand, but could easily be removed for hanging on a wall.
