Large Hopi Yellowware Vase, c.1920

This large Hopi vase was made by a member of the Nampeyo family in the 1920s. The jar is encircled by a well-executed Sikyatki Revival design, and the jar is well-molded with a rolled-in rim. The painting is precise and the piece fired well, exhibiting the exceptional tonality from ivory to burnt orange that traditional Hopi yellowware pottery is known for. The jar measures 11 7/8” height and 8 ¼” diameter, and is in excellent, original condition. Complimentary shipping is included.
