This open bowl by Hopi-Navajo master potter Nathan Begaye (1958-2010) is dated 10-30-84 on the bottom, along with the artist's signature. The bowl exemplifies Nathan's skill as a potter, from its symmetrical hand-coiled molding to the precise painting in the design. This bowl is an excellent example of Nathan combining traditional Hopi and Navajo themes with inspiration from the ancient world.
