Hopi Polychrome Seed Jar by Stella Huma

This polychrome seed jar is signed "Poivee Stella Huma," clearly indicating it is the work of Hopi-Tewa master potter Stella Huma (1929-1995). Stella Huma was a potter at First Mesa, known for her ability to mold thinly-walled pots. This jar has a classic four panel design with traditional Hopi feather elements, and was traditionally molded, painted, and fired. The jar measures 5 3/4" height and 8" diameter, and is in excellent, original condition. Complimentary shipping included.
