Navajo Silver and Turquoise Earrings, c.1940s new
These vintage Navajo silver and turquoise earrings from the 1940s have handmade silver shepherd hooks, which replaced the original screw backs. The turquoise cabochons are encircled by silver raindrops, and the turquoise could be either from the Sleeping Beauty or Bisbee mines in Arizona. The silver has nice patination from age. The earrings have no markings or hallmark, another indicator of their age. The turquoise in this pair of earrings is particularly bright and beautiful, as the photographs suggest. Complimentary shipping included.
