Hopi-Navajo Polychrome Bowl by Nathan Begaye new
This is a beige-slipped polychrome bowl with a red-slipped polished base by Hopi-Navajo master potter Nathan Begaye (1958-2010). The bowl is an excellent example of Nathan working in his Sikyatki Revival style from his Hopi background. He has used at least seven different amazing clay colors in his design. The bowl measures 4" height and 7 1/2" diameter, and is in excellent original condition. It is clearly signed "Nathan B Hopi Navajo 9-21-89," and comes from the collection of a Santa Fe patron of Nathan's, who often allowed him to trade pottery for housing.
