Hopi Small Bowl by Rachel Sahmie
This is a small open bowl by Rachel Sahmie that was fired in October 2020. The bowl features a classic Nampeyo family design with feather tail drops. It measures 1 5/8" height and 3 1/2" diameter. This is a great little piece of traditionally fired, molded, and painted Nampeyo family pottery. Rachel Sahmie is a fifth generation master potter at First Mesa, and is the great-great-granddaughter of Nampeyo (1856-1942), the matriarch of Hopi pottery.
