Small Black and White on Red Seed Jar by Nampeyo, c.1905

This small seed jar could have easily been made by Nampeyo when she was demonstrating for the Fred Harvey Company at the Grand Canyon in 1905 and 1907. There, she specialized in smaller ceramics for easy sale to the many tourists. This jar has her classic tight seed jar with repeating split leaf designs in alternating black and red colors. The piece is intact but has some some scuffing which shows its design.
It measures 2.5" H x 4.5" D.
