Small Hopi Open Bowl by Nampeyo, c.1900-10

This early yellowware open bowl with four pairs of raindrops on the rim was made by Nampeyo around 1900. The design is classic for Sikyatki Revival—a cubist bird with many curved angles. This bowl has Nampeyo's extra rim coil. There's an old Fred Harvey label on the back "From the Hopi Villages." Could be a piece made at Grand Canyon in 1905 or 1907. Measures 6.25" diameter and 2" height, original condition.
