Navajo Rug c. 1915
Here is a great example of traditional Navajo weaving dating from around 1915. This piece is all-natural homespun wool with vegetal dyes in addition to the red. It measures 55 1/2" by 34". It is in good condition with a few small holes. The thread count measures 8 warp by 28 weft. From the collection of Loretta Moore of Raton, New Mexico. An excellent example of traditional Navajo weaving. A great buy for any collector of Navajo textiles.
