Hopi Eagle Tail Jar by Elva Nampeyo
This iconic seed jar is a great example of the strong tradition of traditional potters at Hopi. This piece made by Elva Nampeyo features a sweeping eagle tail design popularized by the Nampeyo family of potters. Handmade of native Hopi clay and pit fired in the traditional fashion. Clearly signed by the artist. Measures 3 1/2" high by 7" in diameter. A great piece of Hopi culture.
