Hopi Koshare Box w/ Lid by Nyla Sahmie new

A nice piece by Hopi-Tewa master potter Nyla Sahmie, this square ceramic box features a Koshare clown head on its lid. This piece was traditionally fired at the artist's home in Polacca Arizona in early 2025. Nyla is a direct matrilineal descendant of Nampeyo (1858-1942). This piece measures 5 1/2" high by 5" in diameter. Signed by the artist. An innovative example of Pueblo pottery as a living art tradition.
