Hopi Swirl Bowl by Nampeyo/Fannie, c.1925

Although unsigned, this large handsome yellow ware bowl appears to be molded by Nampeyo and painted by her daughter Fannie. It features the head of a bird hanging from a cloud, with a feather in its beak and tail feathers on the top right. The interior has a complex glyph with plenty of patination from age. It is well molded, painted and fired, measuring 9 1/2" in diameter by 2 1/4" deep. A great combination of mother-daughter collaboration. Excellent condition. Highly recommended.

p4768 -- $2950
