Hopi Serpent Bowl, Attributed to Daisy Hooee

An exceptional example of Hopi ceramic artwork, this handled bowl is attributed to Daisy Hooee Nampeyo (1906-1994), the granddaughter of the matriarchal potter Nampeyo (1858-1942). This piece features a large feathered serpent motif with innovative Sikyatki Revival accents. These design elements and overall form of the piece indicate Daisy as the maker. This piece measures 4 1/4" high by 9 1/2" in diameter. Excellent condition. A great addition to any collection.
