Hopi Migration Jar by Elva Nampeyo
A great example of traditional Hopi pottery by Elva Nampeyo (1926–1985) featuring the "bat wing" variant of the iconic Migration design, an eye-dazzling calling-card of the Nampeyo family. Elva Nampeyo was the daughter of master potter Fannie Nampeyo and the grand-daughter of Nampeyo, the matriarch of modern Hopi pottery. This piece measures 3 3/4" high by 5" in diameter and includes an original Keams Canyon Trading Post tag. It is clearly signed by the artist. Excellent original condition. An excellent example of traditional pottery at a great price.
