A masterful example of contemporary Acoma pottery by Joseph and Barbara Cerno, famed and seasoned Acoma master potters. This jar features 3 large attractive parrots accented with floral and geometric designs. This 3-panel piece is thinly potted by skilled traditional artists, decorated with 3 smaller birds and flowers dividing the panels on a clean white slip. Traditionally made but kiln fired, this piece incorporates all-natural hand-ground Acoma clay slips and vegetal pigment and is signed by the artists and dated 2010.
This piece measures 11” high by 14” in diameter and is in fine condition. A true masterpiece for any collection.
