Acoma Polychrome Olla, c.1930new

An excellent piece of traditional Acoma pottery from 1930-1940, this medium sized olla exbibits all of the iconic design elements that made these jars so popular. This piece is thinly potted with a graceful symmetrical form decorated with a classic abstract butterfly/lighting bolt motif. It is signed "Acoma, N.M." by the artist.
The jar measures 7 1/2" in diameter by 5 1/2" high. It is in excellent original condition with one small firing spall. An excellent piece of historic Pueblo pottery at a great price. Highly recommended.
