Hopi Tall Vase by Leah Nampeyo updated
A great example of traditional Hopi pottery by Leah Nampeyo (1928-1974) featuring the iconic Migration design, an eye-dazzling calling-card of Nampeyo family. Leah Nampeyo was the daughter of master potter Fannie Nampeyo and the grandaughter of Nampeyo, the matriarch of modern Hopi pottery. This piece combines a traditional design and an elegant, high-necked form. It measures 7 1/2" high by 5 3/4" in diameter. It is clearly signed by the artist. Excellent original condition. An excellent example of traditional pottery at a great price.
