Hopi White Slipped Seed Jar by Nellie Nampeyo

This seed jar by Nellie Nampeyo (1896-1978) features a popular Nampeyo family design of a moth with red wings over a variation of a semi-circular design. Nellie was the daughter of Nampeyo, and along with sisters Annie and Fannie, was a very accomplished traditional potter. The jar measures 9.5" diameter and 5.5" height and is in original condition without repair. The piece is signed "Nellie Nampeyo," and would be an excellent addition to any collection of Nampeyo family pottery.
