Hopi Open Bowl with Bird by Sadie Adams

This attractive bowl is signed with a flower hallmark, indicating it is the work of Hopi potter Sadie Adams (1905-1995), also known as Flower Girl. Sadie was from the Tewa Village on First Mesa, and her clans were Parrot and Kachina. This excellent example of Sadie's work features her classic abstract bird, which fills the inside of the bowl. The outside of the bowl is expertly decorated with abstract designs that end in eagle tail feathers. This bowl measures 9" diameter, and is in excellent, original condition.
