Acoma Polychrome Seed Jar by Eva Lewis

This Acoma polychrome seed jar is signed by the artist, Eva Lewis, a contemporary Acoma potter. The jar shows influence from the ancient world, featuring a Kokopelli figure and a lizard reminiscent of Mimbres pottery. Kokopelli even has charming music notes and butterflies dancing from his flute. A classic geometric Acoma design encircles the jar. The jar is thinly-potted with an interesting geometric opening for the mouth of its contemporary form. The geometric opening also references the ancient world, as it resembles a prehistoric doorway. The seed jar measures 2” height and 4” diameter, and is in excellent, original condition.
