Redware Seed Jar by Nampeyo, 1905

This redware jar features an intricate, interlocking eagle tail design and abstract bird elements with fine line work and diamond patterns. The avian motif is framed on top and bottom by black lines. The piece is well-fired traditionally outdoors and is in excellent condition. Solid example of Nampeyo’s Red slip on a well-formed jar.

This piece measures 5” in height by 9 ¼” in diameter.
