Hopi Double Lobe Jar by Nampeyo, c. 1900

This unusual bi-lobe miniature features classic Nampeyo red bird beak designs with black eyes. Its early red rim tells us that it is early yellowware. Nampeyo made many eccentric forms in her career. This bi-lobe form dates to the prehistoric period.

Original condition. No repair. It measures 4 ¾” in height and 3” in diameter

p375 -- $1100
