Hopi Seed Jar by Jeremy Adams new
An excellent new traditional Hopi seed jar by Jeremy Adams, this piece has an elegant form and the artist's typical precision in the painting. The eagle tail design is a hallmark of the Nampeyo family of potters, revived from pre-historic Sikyatki designs by the artist's ancestor Nampeyo (1858-1942). Jeremy Adams is the son of the master potter Vernida Polacca Nampeyo. This piece measures 7 1/2" in diameter by 3 1/2" high. It is traditionally made from native Hopi clay and pit fired out of doors at the artist's home in Polacca, Arizona. Clearly signed by the artist. An excellent addition to your collection of traditional Hopi pottery.
