Hopi Heheya Kachina, c.1940 new

This Hopi doll is a great example of traditional Kachina carving. This piece depicts Heheya, a messenger of the rain gods. This piece has excellent detail in its miniature ceremonial regalia, including a green ruff around the neck, a rattle and a tiny fox pelt hanging from the belt. This doll measures 12" high. It is in excellent condition with great age. From a distinguished Arizona collection. An excellent addition to any collection of Kachina dolls.
