Contemporary Hopi Bowl by Vernida Polacca Nampeyo updated

An outstanding piece of contemporary Hopi pottery by Vernida Polacca Nampeyo, this open bowl features an intricate design inspired by the Sikyatki Revival aesthetics pioneered by the artist's ancestor Nampeyo (1858-1942). Vernida is a fourth-generation master potter. This piece is handmade from native Hopi clay and pit fired outdoors in May of 2024. It measures 10 1/2" in diameter by 3" high and is clearly signed by the artist. An excellent addition to any collection of traditional pottery.
