Two-Strand Zuni Fetish Necklace, c.1970

This fetish necklace is a great example of fine Zuni jewelry-making. Featuring small hand-carved fetishes depicting bears and foxes with a larger jet bear as a central pendant, this piece demonstrates a variety of colors and forms. The fetishes are strung on two strands of shell heishe beads measuring 27" in total length from clasp to clasp. Excellent original condition. Carver unknown.
