Zuni Inlay Knifewing Bracelet, c.1940

This classic Zuni inlay bracelet dates to the 1940s, and features a Knifewing on three shanks with 2 bars of "raindrops" on either side connecting the shanks. The knifewing figure is composed of inlaid shell, jet, turquoise, and mother of pearl held in place with the fine sawtooth bezel that traditional Zuni jewelry is prized for. Hand-stamped "raindrops" accentuate the wings and tail of the Knifewing. The bracelet has no hallmark, indicative of its age, and measures 5 1/2" inside with a 1" opening, perfect for a 6 1/2" wrist.
