Hopi Silver Overlay Bracelet by Manuel and Karen Hoyungowa, c.1970s

This silver overlay bracelet is by Hopi silversmithing team Manuel and Karen Hoyungowa from Hotevilla on Third Mesa. Manuel Hoyungowa (1953-2011) learned silversmithing from Preston Monongye and began making jewelry in the 1970s. This bracelet features a traditional Hopi design, and measures 5 1/4" on the inside with a 1 3/8" opening—perfect for about a 6 1/2" wrist. The bracelet is in good condition with some wear.
