Navajo Silver and Turquoise Bracelet by John B. Begay, Jr.

This Navajo silver and turquoise bracelet dates to the 1970s. The hallmark, two crossed arrows over the bracelet’s “Sterling” stamp, is an early hallmark used by Navajo silversmith John B. Begay, Jr. Begay is a self-taught silversmith known for his fine workmanship and intricate designs. This bracelet has a twisted wire design with hands on the ends. The single turquoise cabochon is framed by raindrops and small twisted wire. The bracelet measures 5 ½” on the inside, with a 1 ¼” opening—perfect for about a 6 ¾” wrist.
