Two Strand Zuni Fetish Necklace, c.1950s new

This is a Zuni fetish necklace from about the 1950s. The necklace has 38 delicate, stylized carvings of foxes, bears, birds, fish, frogs, and ducks interspersed between fine shell heishe. The fetishes are hand-carved from shell, turquoise, jet, Catlinite, serpentine, spiny oyster, and onyx. The necklace is in great condition, and all fetishes are intact, excepting one turquoise bear which has a small chip. The necklace measures 27" end-to-end, with small silver conical endings and a hook-and-eye closure. Complimentary shipping included.
