Small Hopi Jar by Garnet Pavatea

Garnet Pavatea aka Flower Girl (1915-1981) was a Hopi-Tewa potter from First Mesa who had a long, productive career. This small jar features a variation of a bear claw or migration design. It is clearly signed “Garnet Pavatea” on the bottom, and is in excellent condition. The jar measures 2 ¾” height and 3 ½” diameter. A great piece by an accomplished master potter.
