Large Storage Jar by Frog Woman, Paqua Naha

This large Hopi storage jar is signed with a frog with stick toes, the hallmark of the first Frog Woman, Paqua Naha, who studied directly under Nampeyo and lived from around 1890 to 1955. This ceramic is a traditional Hopi storage jar with Paqua Naha's designs painted carefully all around it. The hallmark is a bit scratched but clearly Paqua Naha's. The jar is in original condition without repair and dates from the 1930s and measures 14" in diameter by 12 1/2" in height. Masterpiece level.
