Description
This excellent example of a Nampeyo canteen dates to around 1890 and shows Nampeyo in her early stages of the Sikyatki Revival movement. The piece has a traditional Polacca slip with crackalure and a red wash on the base. The Eagle design became one of Nampeyo’s most prominent and you can see her early development style in this piece.
This piece measures 6 ½” in height by 10” in diameter.
