An excellent example of modern storyteller figures from Cochiti Pueblo, this deer hunter is made by renowned master potters Virginia (1932-2014) and Louis Naranjo (1932-1997). This piece is handmade from native Cochiti clay and pit fired traditionally. With excellent attention to detail, it is an exceptional ceramic sculpture by the husband and wife potting duo. Measures 9" high by 7" wide. Clearly signed by the artists. Excellent condition. A highly-recommended addition to any collection of Cochiti storytellers by one of the best creators in the field.
