Large Nampeyo Black and White on Red Pitcher
This rare pitcher by Nampeyo began as a vase and was then molded into a European-style pitcher, showing influence of the West upon Hopi pottery. The elegant Sikyatki designs are precisely placed and very effective on this ceramic. The pitcher dates from around 1910 and is in excellent original condition. Unusual form, very well done, the ceramic has an elegant shape and design.
