Masterpiece Moth Jar by Nampeyo

This large white-slipped seed jar by Nampeyo dates to around 1900, before she switched to her popular yellow slips. This jar features Nampeyo's well known moth design in three panels around the jar.

This large white-slipped moth jar by Nampeyo measures 12" in diameter and 7" in height, and is in excellent original condition. Nampeyo used the design of moths or butterflies on several pieces during this period and this is one of the largest examples I've seen. It appears coal fired. From a Colorado Springs estate.
