Hopi Plain Corrugated Bottle/Vase by Rachel Sahmie
Corrugation, the overlapping of the individual clay coils without smoothing them, is an ancient technique used on early prehistoric pottery in the Southwest. This ceramic is the first time Rachel Sahmie has experimented with this old technique. The piece has a zen simplicity. Measures 5" in diameter by 5" in height.
