Navajo Cornstalk Yei Tree of Life Rug, c.1940
This rug is a great example of a large homespun Navajo textile dating from around 1930 - 1940. The design features a large, colorful Cornstalk Yei Tree of Life figure. This piece was purchased at Packards on the Plaza in the late 50s and comes from a Santa Fe collection. It is woven from homespun wool and is in excellent original condition. It measures 5' by 6'8". An iconic folk art piece at a great price.
