Description
This yellowware jar is an excellent example of Nampeyo’s early traditional work, between 1875 – 1895, before she created the Sikyatki Revival art movement in 1895. Her designs then were influenced by Zuni designs. The sway back bird appears frequently on her early designs.
This piece measures 5 ¼” in height by 7 ½” in diameter and is in excellent condition.
