A Santa Clara polychrome jar c.1930-40 by Lela and Van Gutierrez. Each of the colors in this piece are derived from natural clays and traditionally fired. This vast variety of colors sets the Gutierrez's work apart from the classic carved blackware of Santa Clara. This jar is in very good condition and is clearly signed on the base.
