A large deeply carved blackware bowl from Santa Clara artist Christina Naranjo, mother of the famous Teresita Narajo. This classic blackware bowl is decorated with the avanyu design with one twist; on the back is a stylized butterfly with stepped wings. The condition is good with only minor repair near the rim.
