Hopi Seed Jar by Nampeyo, c.1910

8 1/2" diameter

by Nampeyo

A Hopi yellow ware seed jar attributed to Nampeyo, c.1910 in excellent condition with no restoration or repair. The design on this jar is very complex with both tightly spaced and repeating geometric designs as well as many different floating motifs that appear almost like symbols. I think a very interesting comparison could be made to Dextra's shard pots of today.
